Spring 2019

My advice on the matters for the day (as listed in the calendar):

  • Notes and other resources: The notes on protein were not designed for this group and will no doubt not be helpful to some. Each of you had the opportunity to pick up a genetics or cell biology textbook at the first session. That might offer more insight. Or there's any other resource you might find on your own (or I might help you find something). If you can do the problems in Problem Set 3 (see below), you're probably in good shape.

  • Problem Set 3: Go through the questions in Problem Set 3, first to assess whether you know how to approach them, and second to complete them, if possible.

  • Investigation: What is a Gene?: Some of you may be having difficulties with this investigation. If so, be sure to do whatever is necessary to reach the point that is stopping you and to the extent possible, figure out what it is that you need to understand to go further. Then bring that to our next session.

III. New Business
  1. Proteins and Translation
