| I've always admired
and been inspired by Van Gogh's style because it's so liberating
- he lets go of the minutia and instead focuses on color, shape,
and movement in a composition. I chose to pay tribute to "Van
Gogh's Bedroom" in particular because the bedroom is such
a personal space, and I think it speaks of the artist's true nature.
His painting is vibrant, clashing, and oddly restful at times,
and that is what I sought to replicate. |
