Dr. Ye’s research was featured at AIMBE Congressional BioMedical Technology Exhibition

On 5/5/2017, Dr. Ye and his PhD student He Zhang demonstrated the robot-cane at the Congressional BioMedical Technology Exhibition at Rayburn House Office Building. The Capitol Hill event was organized by the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering in cooperation with the Congressional Robotics Caucus. The UALR team showed two demos, obstacle detection/avoidance and simultaneous localization and mapping, to the congressional staffers. Before and after the event, Dr. Ye visited the offices of Rep. French Hill and Senator Tom Cotton and presented to the staffs his ongoing research.

Dr. Ye and He Zhang were explaining to the visitor what the robot-cane can do for the visually impaired and how it works.
