Research
- My assistantship (6/1/95 to 5/31/96) involved statistical analysis and
interpretation for the Belle W. Baruch
Institute for Marine Biology and Coastal Research with regards to a research
grant awarded by NOAA named USES (Urbanization and Southeastern
Estuarine Systems). Kriging (regression of spatially correlated data) was heavily used in this project.
- My dissertation research was under the supervision of Don Edwards and involved using b-splines and nonlinear mixed models to model ecological processes (e.g., the growth and decline patterns of marine fauna).
- My current research is in the areas of statistical education and life sciences as well as areas of legal and medical applications of statistics.
