Sarah C. Rutan is Professor of Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond, VA, where she has been on the faculty for 20 years. Her research spans a broad range of areas in analytical chemistry, including chemometrics, chromatography, multidimensional detection techniques, drug metabolism and the study of solute-solvent interactions in condensed phases. She teaches analytical chemistry courses, including quantitative analysis, instrumental analysis, advanced analytical chemistry, chemometrics and separations.
