Graphical Representation of the Model Levels using the RASSP Taxonomy
Model resolves information at specific level
Model resolves information at any of the levels spanned,
Model optionally resolves information at levels spanned
Model resolves partial information at levels spanned, such
as control but not data values or functionality
Model does not contain information on attribute
A Virtual Prototype can be constructed at any level of abstraction and may include a mixture of levels. It can be configured quickly and cost-effectively, and, being a computer simulation, provides non-invasive observability of internal states.
Notes:
Using the above key code to utilize the RASSP taxonomy, a number of example modeling levels are presented in this and subsequent few slides.
A virtual prototype, for example, can be developed at any temporal, data value, functional, or structural level.
