Abstract. The idea of applying mathematics to biology and medicine is a growing concept. But how far can it help us with medicine and understanding the human body? My talk outlines what mathematics has helped us understand in medicine and what it can help us understand in the future. More specifically I will talk about how a mathematical equation can monitor and predict the growth of cancer cells.
