An Undetermined Linear System for GPS

Abstract. The topic of this presentation will be from Dan Kalman’s “An Undetermined Linear System for GPS”.  From this we will use ideal situations to locate an object on Earth.  Would this really work?  Why is this not introduced in Linear Algebra?  Using college level mathematics we will “find” an object, however brief or incomplete this approach may be.  The student should take from this the basic idea as to how GPS works.
