Mathematical Biology: The Past, The Present, The Future, and Why You Should Jump on the Bandwagon
Abstract
Abstract: Mathematical Biology is an ever growing field both in depth and in breath. Much of the recent growth is due to advent of new technologies, and an increased willingness of seeking collaboration between the fields of biology/medicine and mathematics. In this talk I will give a brief and incomplete summary of a past, present, and future vision of this field as well as argue why this will be the century of mathematical biology.
