Lab Facilities
Server cluster and clouds
A sever cluster is used exclusively for security research. The cluster consists of four IBM System x3650 M3 nodes with total 48 cores, and an IBM DS3512 with 5TB storage.
The cluster is running Eucalyptus and OpenNebula cloud. More then twenty virtual servers, e.g., LDAP, DHCP, Wiki, GIT, FTP, discussion forum, etc., are running on the cluster to suport research projects.
Facilities for architectual designs
We have Xilinx evaluation platform and Synopsys software to support the development and simulation of new CPU designs. We also have hardware and software to program and test BIOS.
Accessability
Our lab can support various research projects of both undergraduate students and graduate students. Researchers in the lab can also access computing facilities provided by the computer science department and the university. In June 2012, the Computer Science Department will have around 500 cores to support various computing tasks.
