Sep-Pak C-18 cartridge separates the colors in Kool-Aid

1. Prepare a Sep-Pak C-18 cartridge (obtained from Waters, a division of Millipore) by flushing:10 mL of 100% ethanol through the column
   
1. 10 mL of 0.001 N hydrochloric acid through column. Discard
2. 5 mL of air through the column to dry the column. Discard
3. As stated discard the eluants
2. Tc-99m-MAG3 quality control testing procedure:
1. load 0.1 mL of the kit formulation on the column.
2. elute the column with 10 mL of 0.001 N hydrochloric acid and collect eluant into a counting vial (A).
3. elute the column with a 50:50 mixture of ethanol/0.9% sodium chloride solution and collect eluant into a counting vial (B).
4. place the Sep-Pak Cartridge into a third counting vial (C).
3. Determine the percent radiochemical purity:



4. Radiochemical purity should be >90%.
