Instructions
1. The spot must be allowed to dry for 5-10 minutes, but no longer than 10 minutes. If you wait more than 10 minutes the compound will breakdown
2. Using a 10 cm strip allow the solvent to migrate up the strip approximately 7 cm. Cut the strip in half and determine the activity of the two portions of the strip.
3. The radiochemical purity is determined by dividing the activity on the top by the total activity on the strip and multiplying by 100.
Radiochemical purity must be greater than 90%.
