Some thoughts on Schrodinger operators
Abstract: An old theorem of Livsic says that two Schrodinger operators are unitarily equivalent if and only if the corresponding characteristic functions are the same. Unfortunately, Livsic never really give an effective way of computing these characteristic functions. We do. Though this title and abstract sound technical, the talk will be very broad and general. No special knowledge of physics is needed.
