Dr.
Karla Mossi has been working in the area of Smart Materials
and Structures for sevral years both in academia and
industry. After joining the Mechanical Engineering faculty
at Virginia Commonwealth University she established the
Smart Materials Laboratory in 2002. Her research is focus on
the design, construction and characterization of composites
and study their applications in energy harvesting, flow
control and integrated sensing and actuation.
