R package "figdim"

The R package "figdim" contains two functions:

init.fig.dimen() sets up a plot with specified heights/widths
aspect.ratio.plot() sets up a plot with the aspect ratio preserved

In both of these functions, the user chooses whether the graphic is to be written to a PDF, PostScript, Windows metafile, or TIFF file. These functions are not designed to be used with an interactive graphics device.

This package is available for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.

For Linux or Mac OS X, download http://www.people.vcu.edu/~jswall/figdim_0.1.tar.gz and use R CMD INSTALL.
For Windows, download http://www.people.vcu.edu/~jswall/figdim_0.1.zip

Note: Previously, earlier versions of these functions were part of R package "aqfig" (available on CRAN).
