enrolled in this course will learn:
The use of
surveys as a form of community engagement
Basic survey
design principles
How to design
a web-based survey using SNAP software
Processes for
administering a survey
How to export
the data from a web-based survey
How to analyze
and report the data
This
course will meet on five occasions in January, during which time students
will learn about survey research, design an actual web-based survey, and prepare
the survey for administration. After
two months of gathering responses, the course reconvenes for three meetings
in the Spring, during which time students will learn how to export, analyze
and report the data from the survey. There will be some additional course
time on-line.
