Holy Baptism - A New Setting (2006)
Download the PDF
This is a rewrite of the liturgy of Holy Baptism that I created while at Yale Divinity School; the original comes from Evangelical Lutheran Worship.  It makes use of more inclusive language.  I was attempting to broaden the definition of parent to include same-sex couples and single parents.  There is a pre-recorded musical element to this liturgy that is based on the sound of flowing water and an unborn child's heartbeat.  If you are interested in using this liturgy, please contact me so I can get you a copy of the music to accompany the rite.

Steve Reich?s The Desert Music - An Analysis of Text (2002)
Download the PDF
This is a paper that I wrote while studying for my Master of Music degree.  This is an analysis of the text by William Carlos Williams as adapted by Steve Reich.  You'll notice that there are examples noted in the text but no examples anywhere in the paper.  This is the result of misplacing the examples on my part.  As soon as I find the examples, I will update the paper.  Also, please excuse the messy bibliography (I was young and didn't really know what I was doing).

This is a brief essay that I wrote describing the harmonic and structural relationships in my string quartet the dark well.  I posted this essay as an example of my theoretical writings.
