In the following Dialogue you should be able to:

Yonas meets Genet and Asia who are new arrivals at
school; Genet asks a lot of questions.

(Y = Yonas, and G = Genet)

Y.:selam, Shimey yonas iyu. Hello my name is
Yonas.
is'Ki-Ke men iyu shim'ki? What are yours?

G.:shimey genet iyu. My name is Genet.
izia kea meHazay iya. and this is my friend
shima kea Asia iyu. her name is Asia.
ane tem'harit iye. I'm a student.
nis'Ka-Ke tem'haray diKa? And you, are you a
student?

Y.:iwe, ane-win tem'haray iye. Yes, I'm a student,
too.
nis'Kat'kin Hadeshti tem'haro Are you new students?

G.:iwe, niHna Hadeshti tem'haro ina. Yes, we're new
students.

G.:n'fuE mem'h'r diyom? Is he a good teacher?

Y.:iwe, nifuE mem'hir iyom. Yes, he is a good
teacher.

G.:nisom in'tay y'm'hru? What does he teach?

Y.:nisom nay engliz'Na qwan'qwa mem'h'r He is an
English language teacher.
iyom.qwanqwa in'gliz bur'rtuE iyu. English language
is difficult .

G.:itia sebey'ti-Ke men iya? And what about that
woman?
isa-Ke mem'h'r diya? Who is she? Is she a teacher
too?

Y.:ay'konet'n. nisa nay bet t'm'h'r'ti No, she's a
school secretary.
