A NAP IN THE SUN
This print was derived from a Kodacolor photograph. The negative was separated using
Wratten filters and printed on Kodak Panalure paper. The filters used were as follows: red 29 for
the cyan printer, green 61 for magenta, blue 47b for yellow. For the black printer, the Panalure
paper was exposed to each of the filters and at the same time the individual filters were exposed.
The Panalure prints were used to make halftone negatives . A grey elliptical Kodak 120
line half tone screen, on a copy camera, was used to make the 4x5 half tone negatives. The angles
for the negatives were as follows: 90 degrees yellow, 45 degrees black, 105 cyan and 75 for the
magenta
printer. These were enlarged to the desired size on Kodalith film and printed with CMYK oil-
based inks and half tone ink.
