(please press SUBMIT button when finished)
WARNING! Please don't use double quoatation marks in your answers.
(The questionnaire program dies when it encounters them!)
Spring 2013

If you encounter a question you've answered in a previous questionnaire and your answer hasn't changed, feel free to ignore the question.
Exception: Please continue to give your name, even if it hasn't changed.

I. Basic Information

A. Your name
II. BioBIKE
What specific problems you've encountered would be helpful to you for us to discuss in class?
III. Problem Set 2 (Molecular Investigations)
You'll be getting back feedback on your responses to Problem Set 2.
Apart from that, is there anything concerning the problem set you think would warrent discussion in class?

IV. Genome sequencing and assembly

A. DNA libraries, dideoxy sequencing, shotgun genome assembly,... OK now?

B. How far have you gotten in the tour of Myers et al (2000)?

C. Are there any particular study questions in that tour that you think warrant class discussion? How about SQ 10 and 14?

D. Do you see how the basic tools to calculate probability can help you determine the degree of coverage of a genome?
(in light of the last part of last week's presentation on Probability and Genomes -- see the calendar)

E. Any particular issues concerning Problem Set 3?

F. Comments, questions, concerns regarding Myers et al?

V. Mapping and Loops

A. How far did you get in the notes concerning mapping and loops?
B. Needless to say, the notes work much better if you try each example in BioBIKE yourself. Have you done so?
C. What concerns do you have regarding mapping and loops?

D. Any issues regarding Problem Set 4?

VI. Was Mendel Right?

A. How far did you get in the two tours?
B. Any issues in the biology (Part I)?
C. Any issues doing Part II on BioBIKE?
D. Any issues regarding the goals of the simulation?
E. Do you have an intuitive insight into the meaning of chi-square tests?

VII. Miscellaneous
Any other comments, questions, suggestions, or concerns you may have?

Thanks!
