The VCU Library will deliver
almost any book we own to your home for free and
pay for return shipping by including
a return shipping label with the book(s).
Use our ILLIAD
system to request delivery.
But first, find out what books
the VCU Library has by using the
VCU
Library Catalog
The default form of search is
called "words anywhere" and will search
the words you enter in the book
titles, authors' names subjects,
and descriptions. See the search
tips given below the window where
you type in your words.
Other kinds of searches can
be selected in the dropdown window include..
Title Begins With..
Author (last name first)
etc.
Another Option:
To see what books may be available
beyond VCU Libraries, try
Google Book Search
which lets you search for topics
within books and then, by clicking on
"Find in a Library" tells you
where copies are available
or
Worldcat
which allows you to specify
your zip code and searches libraries
near you for any book. You can
request any book you find there
via ILLIAD
and we will try to provide it to you for free.
If VCU does not have the
book you need on its shelves in Richmond,
we will gladly get it for you
from another library, but that usually takes
two weeks or more.
To do that, use our
ILLIAD request system.
