It's Spelling Bee week at Mary Munford School and at thousands of other schools all over the United States.
Each class at Mary Munford will
have one
of its best spellers to compete
on
Thursday morning, February 1st,
at 9:30 AM
in the auditorium to determine
the school spelling champion.
Be sure to root for your classmates
or friends in the bee...
and if they make a mistake,
cheer for them anyway!
Just getting to the schoolwide
bee is an honor--
everyone there is a winner already!
Why do they call it a spelling "bee"? Here's one explanation
Spelling bee winners will keep
competing until the national spelling bee in Washington, D.C. in June,
2001.

bee, shows the hard spelling words that made each year's winner a national
