Selected Contributors:

Gary Allen has published 13 collections of poetry. He is widely published in magazines such as Ambit, Fiddlehead, Irish Pages, Malahat Review, Meanjin, The Poetry Review, The Threepenny Review, and others. A selection of his poems was published in the anthology The New North (Wake Forest University Press/Salt).

Louise Halvardsson is a Swedish novelist who spent 10 years in Brighton. After her latest book, Swenglish, a personal study of life in Sweden and England, she moved back to the country of her birth. See www.louisehalvardsson.com.

Judith Kazantzis, poet, essayist, and artist, has published nine poetry books, including a midway Selected Poems. Waterloo recently republished her The Odysseus Poems: Fictions on the Odyssey of Homer. Her pamphlet In Cyclops' Cave is a new translation of Book 9. She is a Cholmondely Award winner. Isabel Palmer is an English teacher, former adviser on gifted pupils, and one-time European silver medallist in triathlon. She hopes to publish a collection of poems inspired by her son's tour of duty in Afghanistan last year.

Nasima Sultana (1957-1997) was born in Bangladesh. She received her MA in English from Rajshahhi University and published poetry and fiction as one of Bangladesh's most promising younger writers until her death in 1997. Her work has appeared in literary journals in translation by Carolyne Wright and Mohammad Nurual Huda and in the anthology Majestic Nights: Love Poems of Bengali Women (White Wine Press, 2008), edited by Carolyne Wright.

Jeffrey Wainwright's most recent book of poems is The Reasoner (Carcanet, 2012). He has published widely on poetry, including Poetry: The Basics (Routledge, 2004) and a book on the poetry of Geoffrey Hill, Acceptable Words (Manchester University Press, 2005).
