Grading

Late assignments will be graded down for each week late.

Incomplete, or improperly completed, assignments will usually earn a "D" or "F". On occasion, I will require or allow a remake or completion.

Your work will also be graded on neatness & attention to specific assignment requirements.

Below are the points you get for each grade

A+	100

If a student earned every grade between "A" and "C-" on eight grades,
the total of 663 divided into 800 would produce an average of 82, or a low "B".

To see how perfect this system is, assume a student got five "A's" (95 points each) for a total of 475.
Now, divide 475 by the possible total the student would have earned if they got five "A+'s", which is 500.

475 divided by 500 = 0.95, or 95 (A)

Also try a theoretical student who got straight A+'s for a total of 500 points on 5 projects;
500 divided into 500 is 1.0, or 100 (A+)

Your final homework/classwork average is not the only factor determining your grade:

Absences, tardies & leaving early can all effect your final grade. See attendance for more.

Incomplete mid-term portfolio presentations (not all work included or all required work presented but no portfolio, or both) or failing to turn in a portfolio on time will effect your review grade.

Some extra credit is available.
