    A study of the principles of learning, instruction, and curriculum in art education programs. Students develop teaching competencies through micro-teaching experiences, analysis of instructional methods, and teaching styles. Writing intensive.

    arte 250: computer technology in art education

    Students gain competency in using a computer as a tool for creating electronic imagery, designing curriculum, interpreting works of art, and as a filtering mechanism for traditional media. Scanning and manipulating photos is explored, as are the potential and limitations for computers as they pertain to art education. Successfully integrating computers into visual arts classrooms will be addressed.
