All students of music are encouraged, if not expected, to achieve some competence playing the piano (or other keyboard instrument). The following online keyboards are provided as a convenience for students at those times when a conventional keyboard is not available.

  • Basic keyboards
    • Basic keyboard - it just plays the notes when you click on them.
    • "Keyboard" keyboard - same as above except you can play it using your computer keyboard.
    • Virtual Keyboard - this is a superior online keyboard that can be played with the mouse or by typing. Also will do a number of different sounds. It's better than mine....
  • Fixed "do" keyboards for students trying to learn fixed "do" solfege, these tools may help:
  • Chord keyboards. This is a unique way to explore the most commonly used chords and inversions in the common practice period.
