On this site you will find information for prospective and current students. Prospective students should go to the "Newsletter" and "Policies" sections for specific information about how we run the studio. For information on our education, teaching experience, and other accomplishments, please visit our homepages which are linked above.
We offer lessons on all of the woodwind instruments and piano. Most students come for half hour lessons, once a week for an individual lesson. Lessons are grouped into 16 week semesters for fall, spring, and summer. Scheduling for summer sessions is very flexible - we will accomodate your vacation plans. Each spring we have a studio recital where all students are given the opportunity to perform for their peers (and parents!).
During the fall and spring semesters, group lessons are held approximately once per month. Students interact with others who are at the same age or playing level. This a great opportunity for students to perform for each, hear each other play, work on new music theory concepts, or play ensemble music specific to their instrument. A great side benefit is that they also get to know students from other schools and develop lasting friendships with kids from around the Richmond area.
If you think you might be interested in taking lessons, please feel free to give us a call (560-1516) or send us an email..
