You are here: Home: High School District Band Event February 2-4, 2012 Schedule Thursday, February 2 Friday, February 3 1:45 pm LUNCH 2:15 pm Rehearsal resumes. Breaks will occur at the director’s discretion 5:00 pm Rehearsal ends. There will be a quick room change before dismissal. Symphonic Band will move to the Band Room and Concert Band will move to the stage. Saturday, February 4 (Breaks are at the discretion of the conductors). *Please note: Tardiness may result in a student being moved to the end of their section. Failure to show up to a rehearsal will result in dismissal from the weekend's activities, and will jeopardize All-State eligibility. DecorumPlease discuss rehearsal etiquette to your students so that they might represent District I to the best of their ability to these talented gentlemen. Concert dress remains the normal "church clothes" standard. Gentlemen need a buttoned shirt and tie, dress slacks, and dress shoes. Young ladies should wear a dress, dress pants, or an appropriate length skirt (knee length or below) with a blouse or dressy top with dress shoes. I.e. each band director should only pay $7.00 total. Student meals are included in the student fee. Online Form: Please fill out and submit the online form with necessary numbers and corrections NO LATER THAN Friday, January 14. Please check with your students NOW to find out if they will be in attendance so that we can pull up alternates if needed. Student Fee : $TBD per student. Please send one check, from your school or boosters, made payable to Atlee High School postmarked NO LATER THAN Friday, January 13, 2012. Director Attendance : If you have a student involved in District Band, you are required to be in attendance for the duration of the event. In the case that you cannot attend all or part of the event, you must find another director who will agree to monitor your students, and then have your building principal write a note giving consent for the named director to be responsible for your students. In addition, you are required to stay for the duration of the concert, helping with set-up and tear-down. Each director should be here after the concert until ALL of their students have been picked up. IMPORTANT: Failure to comply with deadlines will forfeit your school's opportunity to participate in this District-1 event. Contact information:
