A cooperation agreement with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in 1998 marked the beginning of the Department's internship program. Since then, the number of firms and students participating has increased. Moreover, the scope of the participating firms has expanded and now includes a mixture of public, private, and quasi-public enterprises. A succient number of firms have agreed to participate to insure that virtually every qualified student will have the opportunity to serve as an intern. Students may also participate in the internship program offered by the School of Business. A list of participants follows.
Participation in the department's internship program is normally limited to students who have both successfully completed at least are 15 credit hours in economics and maintained GPA of at least a 3.00. To learn more or to apply for an internship, please contact the Department of Economics office.
